Read product reviews →Beginner paddler with a sporting background. Open coastal waters and wetland canals. 4" version. This isn't a beginner board per se, but I highly recommend this board for a beginner who wants room to grow. The only thing I can compare it to is the Isle Pioneer 3 (10'6" x 34" x 6") which I also own. The Pioneer is a wildy stable, fairly zippy, maneuverable board. The Expedition tracks better, is faster, handles open water and chop way better while being a little less stable and a bit harder to turn. The stability becomes a non issue once you adapt. Plus, it's still a relatively wide board all things considered.
This became my main board all summer and while I don't know what I'm missing yet with faster, narrower, pricier boards (let alone hard boards), I have zero complaints. Although maybe some additional rings for rigging would be nice (The Isle's design with. endless rings is pretty sweet actually). But the rigging that's included is still quite good.
The board feels quite stiff, only to reveal it's flex when you hop up and down and feel it's center flex which is indeed pronounced. But you feel almost none of that when stationary and paddling.
Its length is also really helpful for stabilizing open water chop. Much more than I was expecting.
For the price, performance, features and quality, $550 for a board you can learn on but still grow with is super rad. Plus the board itself looks rad too. Classy actually.
I skipped the kit and spent additional cash on a Shark 3 pump and a carbon fiber paddle from Nixy. Very happy with that combo. If you're fairly certain you're going to stick with the hobby/sport and you're paddling conditions have any open water, wind or chop, go with the 12'6", the 4" version, and save for a better paddle. This is a really wonderful, affordable, well designed board.
The Thurso Paddle story is a bit complicated. There are three versions: Hybrid (newer nylon), Elite (carbon), and a slitted low-drag option. Adjustable from 71–87 inches, it features an easy-tension, twist-free clamp layout, a 10-degree dihedral blade angle, and an 85–87 square inch face.
The newest carbon nylon hybrid model runs 40% off on sale and pairs with an extra conversion blade for kayaking. Do not let the ergonomic handle look fool you. The hole going completely through the 7" x 4.25" handle grip looks like it might cause hand cramps, but it is incredibly comfortable—arguably more so than my Starboard.
As an above-average kayaker with over 33,000 nautical miles of experience circumnavigating Southeast Alaska and paddling across Oregon, Washington, and Texas, I know efficiency. Dropping the spare blade in to create a 96-inch kayak paddle setup makes this stand-up board fly, leaving a distinct wake behind me. My core and torso do 100% of the work using a high angle of attack. The kayak motion resembles a freestyle swimming stroke, while my SUP style uses a long cadence where I lock my knee on the stroke side and turn my torso underneath my lead arm instead of leaning forward to pull the board. Different strokes for different folks.
The Thurso's 10-degree face cut completely eliminates blade flutter while grabbing water aggressively. It delivers a 20–22% boost in speed and efficiency over the cheap stock Flypark stock blade. My Alaskan touring background taught me that keeping a long blade in the water against heavy wind and current maximizes glide, so I dig in rather than taking quick mini strokes.
While the Thurso is a massive upgrade, my Starboard Enduro M holds the edge due to its ultra-light carbon swing weight and an aggressive 13-degree blade rake. However, Starboard uses marketing hype to claim a 19.2-inch blade length. They measure clear up to the shaft joint, hiding over 3 inches of non-functional neck shaft. Measuring the actual usable surface area from the shoulders down, the Enduro is 15" x 7.75" (technically 7 13/16ths), which mirrors the cheap Flypark shape at the shoulders but wins on rake, weight, and eased edges. The Thurso measures a true 15.25" x 7.5" and grips water tightly with its squared teardrop bottom, though Thurso is wrong to round their width up to an 8-inch catalog spec.
To improve the Thurso shaft, they should print a simple alignment line on the opposite side of the graphics. This would let paddlers line up the blade with the hidden button hole at a quick glance instead of fumbling to square it up.
My new Werner Zen 95 just arrived at the door. It measures 16.75" x 7" (roughly 91 square inches), offering a deeper, narrower vertical profile than the others. If you struggle to move your trail hand over the rail for a true vertical catch, the Zen 95 is built for you. Still, the Thurso remains a top-tier contender for anyone upgrading their "came in the kit" paddle.
On the ugly side, Thurso's messy inventory partnership with Amazon caused a full three-week delivery delay. They also need to fix their site to state the true 7.75-inch blade width instead of rounding off.
At 40% off, the Thurso is an excellent value. I would only pay full retail if buying the Elite carbon setup for a lighter swing weight. While all paddles feel the same weight when pulling through a water stroke, you will absolutely feel the cumulative weight penalty of a heavier hybrid shaft during the recovery lift, stroke after stroke. Fortunately, the tough hybrid material resists chips and dings, meaning you never have to baby it. If you want to skip spending hundreds on full carbon, this is your blade. If you want it lighter, buy the Elite. Simple.
I love my new board! I’m 5’3 and 140lbs. The 10.6 is the perfect size. It’s so stable and glides beautifully! The rollie bag is so helpful for someone as petite as me and the pump worked great.
Took the 138 on the first day in choppy water with a headwind, and it delivered! This is my balance for speed, efficiency, stability and cargo hauling.
I love how it bundles with an electric battery pump/compressor, so much better than hand pumping or needing to run the truck with a tire compressor. Just what I wanted.
I absolutely love my Tranquility 10'8 Yoga Paddle Board. It is perfect for my yoga practice. I am happy I got it with the electric pump that I can plug in in my car or have it charged and pump by the water.
Extremely disappointed with this board, after having read good reviews.
After around only 6-8 uses, the air valve is leaking and needs a replacement. Seems like the most important part of the board that should not fail so fast. Already contacted support who suggested to tighten or clean the valve but that did not fix the issue.
Hi,
We are truly sorry for the frustration this has caused, and we completely understand your concerns. Making sure you have reliable gear is our top priority, and we are fully committed to getting this completely sorted out for you.
As we've arranged through our support channel, your replacement parts are already on the way so you can get back on the water. Please feel free to reach out directly if you need any further assistance!
Excellent board, very stable. Had a blast with the whole family the first trip out. 2 things I would change. 1. Add D rings and bungees to the back of the board. 2. Would've preferred slide in fin boxes instead of the US fin boxes. The adapters aren't cheap and we had to get some to install a dual U92 pro thruster kit with a 24v 100ah marine graded Lifepo4 battery for all day fun time cruising.
The Thurso Surf Multipurpose 11’6 is very well built. I specifically chose it for paddling with a child or large dog, and the full length eva foam pad is perfect for this. My son can run along the length and jump in at the nose without slipping, and my dog is free to wander up nd down safely.
I don’t give it 5 stars due to the cost, as it is very expensive, and the bag it comes with made of a soft shell like fabric, which will wear and tear quickly. I wish this was a harder more durable fabric.
It was easy to set up and tear down, my 18 and 12 year old grandchildren did it. The backpack is roomy and easy to navigate around thanks to the wheels. We love it and can’t wait till the second one gets here.
I am writing to complain about the SUP backpack I purchased from your online store. Unfortunately, after the very first use, the stitching on the front completely came apart, making the backpack unusable.
The product was used normally and carefully, so I am very disappointed with its quality, especially considering that it failed after just one use.
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us! We are truly sorry to hear that your paddleboard is bending, as our boards are engineered with high-density materials specifically to deliver rigid, hard-board-like performance.
When an inflatable board flexes or bends, it is almost always caused by under-inflation. Our boards are designed to be inflated to 12–15 PSI to achieve full structural stiffness. If the pressure drops below this range, the board will lose its rigidity under weight and begin to bend on the water.
We strongly recommend using a pressure gauge to ensure your board reaches at least 15 PSI before hitting the water—you’ll notice an immediate difference in stiffness and performance!
If you have verified the PSI and are still experiencing flex, or if you suspect a leak, please reach out to us directly at contact@shopislesurfandsutrend.com. Our team will be more than happy to help you inspect the board and make things right!
Hi,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are sincerely sorry for the frustrating experience you had on the water. Losing personal items during a trip is terrible, and this is certainly not the quality or experience we aim to provide.
Please rest assured that this is very uncommon for our products, as each board goes through strict quality control.
I truly hope the brand-new replacement board I sent you earlier is serving you well and providing the smooth, enjoyable paddle experience you expected!
If you ever need anything else, please don't hesitate to reach out to our team.
After taking this baby for a couple of rides, those are the pros and cons. May this review help anyone thinking about buying this board.
Pros:
- The design is very nice. Especially the crimson color.
- Great value for the pack with the paddle, pump, backpack and cooler.
- Easy to install fins.
- Good speed once you gained momentum.
- I managed to safely ride it with my girlfriend even though we were way past the weight limit without the board sinking.
- Quality materials.
- Begginer friendly. My gf and my sister managed to learn how to stand after a couple of minutes and they never used a SUP before.
- Worth every single penny overall.
Cons:
- On the heavier side.
- A bit awkward to pack.
- The backpack is not that confortable or practical.
- A bit unstable if you are tall and heavy like me (but easy to get used to it).
- The electric pump included into the pack takes forever to get the board to 18psi and makes a lot of noise. I would have preffered a manual pump.
- Every handle or string on this takes forever to dry even when out in the sun.
Conclusion: I love this board and I would reccomend it to anyone that wants to jump into this sport and have a sturdy high quality board. Just keep in mind transporting, setting up and drying might give you a little bit of friction.
I recently returned from a trip to Costa Rica where my wife and I spent a month next to the beach. I never missed a daily session in the time we were there, racking up over 1400 rides on my Quill 42” model.
The size worked very well not only for me (81) but also for my youngest granddaughter (12)
The board arrived in a timely fashion. Set up was super easy! And on the water, my new favorite board handled amazingly well.
Love the company, love the board, love the videos! The maiden voyage today and all went smoothly after I remembered to put the fins on, oops! I was glad I watched the videos and took notes to be confident and prepared.
Hope you never have an issue with your board because good luck having Thurso customer service respond. Reached out to them twice, silence. Within the warranty timeframe, only having used my board a handful of times, and the center fin box is already letting go.
I upgraded to Thurso from my Performance Body Glove paddleboards. Thurso was always my dream board that I had wanted to eventually upgrade to. After having my Body Glove boards for 6 years, I finally upgraded.
After being ignored, I would never recommend anyone purchase from Thurso. Body Glove has never let me down and their boards are honestly better quality and price point than Thurso. Save yourself some headache, money, and get the Performance board by Body Glove from Costco.
Hi,
We are truly sorry to hear about your experience, and we want to assure you that Thurso Surf has always placed great importance on customer service and product quality. We would never intentionally ignore any customer concerns. Unfortunately, our email system encountered a receiving issue, which caused us to miss your messages and prevented us from responding in a timely manner.
We are very grateful that you shared your feedback here, because without it we wouldn’t have known that you experienced this problem. Please rest assured that our two-year warranty is always valid and in effect. We are committed to making this right for you and ensuring you get the support you need.
Thank you again for bringing this to our attention.

Love this paddle! Lightweight and the grip feels great in hand. Sadly lost my previous one, but was happy to see this model is still available.
First and foremost, I found this SUP Kayak Seat to be well designed, easy to install and adjust, comfortable and reasonably priced. After using it for two days, problems developed with the two front strap clips! One separated into two pieces and the other became "stretched" out (See pics). This occurred while simply sitting on the SUP enjoying the surrounding views. Clearly, the clips failed due to excessive force (e.g., defined as enough to make them fail). I am about 5'11" and 172lbs and I may have been sitting back in the seat vs. more upright, but one would not think this would cause such damage to the clips. I am not planning to warranty the seat, as I do think it is a good seat. The clips, however, are obviously lacking and I will be replacing them with ones that will be much stronger (Something for Thurso Surf to consider in their future manufacturing process)...
I bought the Waterwalker 120 which came with this bag. On the first use, one of the backpack strap ripped off, making it useless to be used as a backpack. That was the first time I was using it and I was using it like a normal usage. I strongly this bag since it is really filmsy.
Hi,
We’re truly sorry that your backpack strap ripped on the very first use—we completely understand how frustrating that must have been. Please rest assured, we’ve upgraded the design to make it much more durable, and we’ve already sent you a new, improved backpack to replace the faulty one.
We hope this new version will give you the reliable support you expected from the start. Thank you again for sharing your experience—it helps us continue to improve.
Kind regards,
Thurso Surf Team
I had a problem with the board. They didn't respond to my initial requests for help, but once they did respond they took care of the problem completely. I appreciate that.

Finally had a chance to try out my new paddle board. I can only compare it with a Glide SUP that I rented from a SUP rental company but even then I can’t blame the brand because it was not propel set up. In any case, I’m happy with my purchase so far. The set up was very easy as THURSO sends you an email with how to video links. The tricky part are the fins. They don’t have a video that is specific to the fins that it came with however there is a sticker that is stuck to each fin so follow that. I also love the paddle that it came with. Fast and quick adjustability. Locks in place and very light weight bit performs. I don’t see any reason or the need to upgrade at the moment. The auto pump is great. Yes it’s noisy but listening to the other pumps in the parking lot while everyone else fills up their SUPs they seem to all be noisy as the pumps fill up to the final PSI. Easy deflation for quick storage. Love the option to charge and go. I’m 5’2 and my set up is at 13 PSI. The board is already lightweight but shoulder strap makes it easier to carry downhill. No complaints here. And finally I also love the roller backpack. Everything fits with extra room and storage. Overall I am very happy with my Thurso Waterwalker 126 SUP 2024.
During the first use two of the carabiners broke. I changed them to proper stronger, standard carabiners (not really meant to be used for this purpose).
Then during the second use the material got torn.
Hi,
Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention, and I’m truly sorry for your experience.
We’ve recently upgraded the carabiners on the seat to a more durable version, which should be much stronger than the original ones. However, we hadn’t anticipated issues with the backrest tearing, as this hasn’t been a common problem. I’ve already shared your feedback with our product team to review and improve the quality of the backrest in future versions.
In the meantime, we’ve processed a full refund for the seat to your account as a gesture of goodwill. We really appreciate your honest feedback and your support in helping us improve.
I’ve only ever used entry level iSUPs before deciding to upgrade to the Waterwalker. I really love everyone about it. It looks sweet and I often get compliments. It is very stable without being too wide which also helps it to feel more maneuverable. I can comfortably take a more aggressive stance and even take it out in some bigger waves in Lake Huron. I actually am preferring riding in the waves now. All the accessories are great. The carbon paddle is nice. I love that I can attach the paddle to the board on either side. Cordless pump is super convenient and works fast. Overall I’m very happy that I chose Thurso Surf over the iRocker I was considering at a similar price.
I have owned a few different boards now and buy a different company each time. While this is ahead of most of the cheap Amazon boards it has room for improvement. The fins require tools and small screws to secure them. The cargo straps look better than the traditional bungee cord but the Velcro is weak and can easily come unstrapped. Not great when using to hold down important gear on the open water. Overall quality is decent but my search continues for the right board
Customer service was incredible! I ordered the wrong fin & after contacting ThursoSurf they sent the correct one directly to me! It was such a relief & fit perfectly. Thanks so much!
This is a great fin and sensibly priced - but it's also the third one I've had to order! Despite using all three orange rubber stops pushed hard into the fin box, the fin has detached itself and slid back to a point where it has dropped through the slot where you insert it. Consequently I have now lost 2 fins and had to order one again. The solution however is simple - I now also use a standard US box fin screw and flat nut to secure it behind the rubber stoppers. So far so good :-)
These fit perfectly! We have 4 HL paddle boards from Costco and have lost 2 fins. The original fin that came with the board is 10in L by 6 1/4 w by 5/16in thick and this replacement is 8 1/4in L by 6 1/4in W by 5/16in thick. So yes, the replacement is a few inches shorter but it's doesn't affect movement in the water. I'm just happy I found this replacement fin, it locks right in and does exactly what it's supposed to do.
This fin fit like a glove, true to size and compatible with Costco HYPER paddle board.
I contacted Hyperlite about replacement fin (horrible construction when fin slide back, falls off and drown) but got no response.Found this fin with similar shape and it fits!I did small modification (drill a hole and put a safety wire on clip attached to the sup) and hopefully will not loose it again.
Great Service
Love it! This fin fit my IROCKER board perfectly.
It also improved the tracking substantially.
Back for the third year to replace my side fins again. There’s no way to lock these fins in as they suggested in the previous replies. As much as you try to secure these before going into the water, you will almost always come out the water with one missing. Unfortunately, I can only use these specific side fins for my thurso board. I know I can paddle with the center fin on calm waters but as a consumer I shouldn’t have to keep replacing fins every other use.
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us, and we are so sorry to hear about your frustration with the side fins!
Over the past few years, we updated to click-in side fin boxes to align with popular industry trends, aiming to offer tool-free convenience for most paddlers. However, we completely understand that losing a fin on the water is very disappointing.
To prevent the side fins from coming loose, using the small Allen key (wrench) included with your board to slightly tighten the grub screws on the side fin box can make a huge difference. Tightening these screws will lock the fins securely in place so they won't pop off easily during your session.
For a quick walkthrough, you can check out this short installation video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9-oNieLWJiw
We hope this helps improve your experience! If you still face any issues or need further assistance with replacement parts, please reach out to us directly at contact@shopislesurfandsutrend.com—we are always here to help.
We've had this board for 3 years and have had to replace the fins every year. Very easy to lose. I dunno, we try to be careful, but for the 3rd year in a row we just finished a day at the lake and a fin was just gone. This was in a reservoir so it's not like we were bumping rocks going down the river. When I install the fins, I always shake them to make sure they're on nice and tight and they seem fine, but I think they must just take an easy bump in the wrong direction and it's just bye bye. We have other boards from other companies that we have owned for a longer period of time and we do not have this problem. I will say from experience though that with 2/3 of the fins on a lake it is still pretty stable and easy to navigate so there's that.
Hi Mike,
Thank you for sharing your experience, and we're really sorry to hear about the frustration with the fins.
In general, the side fins are most impactful for surfing or making sharper turns—so for regular paddling on calm water, using just the center fin still offers good stability and tracking.
That said, we understand losing fins can be inconvenient. We recommend making sure the screws are fully tightened when installing the side fins, as a loose connection can sometimes cause them to fall out during use, even with light contact.
We appreciate your feedback and are always working to improve our designs—thank you again for supporting Thurso Surf!
Kind regards,
Thurso Surf Team
beware of these fins, they are extremely easy to lose and even with the tightening threads they still don't help
Dear Kerri,
Thank you for reaching out, and I’m very sorry to hear about your recent experience with the fin system. We truly understand how disappointing it can be to encounter any issues while preparing for a great day on the water.
Our Click Fin system is designed for quick and secure installation, and in most cases—especially when the locking mechanism is fully engaged—it provides a reliable hold. That said, we do appreciate that every setup environment can vary slightly, and it’s possible for unexpected issues to arise.
To ensure the best fit, we recommend carefully aligning the fin and pressing it firmly until it clicks into place, followed by tightening the screw completely until it passes through and locks. This step is important for ensuring a secure connection, especially when using the board in dynamic water conditions. The system is also compatible with a wide range of FCS-style fins, offering flexibility for different preferences.
If you’d like a replacement to feel confident moving forward, we’d be happy to assist. Please let us know, and we can arrange a solution right away.
Thank you again for your feedback, and we’re here to help however we can.
Warm regards,
Thurso Surf Support Team
The fins do help, however even when locked they are easy to lose. I list two already
I notice that the fins help with tracking, especially when there are waves that can push you off course. But remember to screw them in so that you don't lose them.
I dropped one fin into the brine after a paddle, so I ordered two complete backup sets. Thurso shipped so fast I didn't miss my next paddle day. The best customer service! And the fins fit perfectly with my board.
Fits right on my sup.
After losing my fins, I am happy that it was easy to find replacements and delivery was fast. thanks :)
Great customer service -resolved issue quicly - no fuss.
I use this if more then one person is coming paddling or fishing with me. Sometime I find it easier to inflate my boards at home and toss them on the roof. Very secure, easy to set up and take down. I can put the mounts on and string the boards in 5-7 minutes.
Super easy to install this. Simply place down the pads where you want them (we needed to move them further apart after getting the kayak up there to make sure we weren't denting the hood of the car with the weight of the kayak), loop the straps through the car and tighten them really well so the pads don't wiggle wiggle they hold, and then put on your vessel and strap er down with the provided straps through the loops on top of the pads. Easy peasy! Held well on a 75 MPR test!
We have used these for our luggage, carry case thing and TWO kayaks! They are well designed and well made and does not damage your car in any way.
I love these roof pads and use them to transport my kayaks and paddle boards. My car doesn't have a roof rack, so I've been using foam blocks and ratchet straps. These pads are much more secure and durable. They also are a lot longer than foam blocks and provide more support. I like how the straps secure the pads to the car. This makes them more stable and decreases vibration. The straps sometimes still vibrate in the wind, but if you put a single twist in them, it solves the problem. The cam locks have a cover over them so nothing can cause them to accidentally loosen, which is a nice touch. This set comes with a storage bag that helps keep everything organized and lets you transport it easier. These pads are a little more expensive than other options on the market, but they're definitely worth investing in if your car doesn't have a roof rack.
Well I pumped my inflatable paddle board and place it on the universal roof rack firm then when I learned it I went down the road a little bit probably to the next block or two probably at 20 or 30 miles an hour and I came back this universal roof rack works great I like it a lot especially when it carries ladders skis snowboards all that stuff I like it a lot
Ottimo prodotto
Como mujer, se buscan cosas faciles de instalar. De super conveniente instalaci贸n y bastante durable. Material ya ha resisto a bastante agua y sigue teniendo el mismo aspecto.

My wife and I took our kids to Destin Florida for spring break. We went there last year and bought some body boards at the local grocery store for around the same price. They only survived for that one day of body boarding. I decided on this trip that I would, make the investment to buy something of better quality and purchased two of these. They worked fantastic! Destin, Florida has become our vacation spot, and I have no doubt that we will enjoy these boogie boards for many years to come! When we got home, and I was unpacking the van, I looked at those two boogie boards that still had some sand on them and it made me smile. It made me smile because I immediately thought about how much fun we had. The previous year, when I bought the boogie boards at the grocery store, they were thrown away and forgotten before we even traveled home. So again, if you are traveling to a place where your kids will want to boogie board, purchase this or you will purchase something that is absolutely garbage for about the same price!
These boards were perfect for our beach trip. They are very durable and made it through strong ocean waves and transportation as we drove from Chicago to Florida. The straps are also very durable and helped keep my family safe through all the fun with waves. My family loved them and had lots of fun with them!
I got this for my 12 yr old son to take on vacation. It looks cool and is sturdy, standing up to the constant dragging and running that goes with a boy that age, lol. It's super lightweight and is also soft enough to be comfortable. He couldn't be happier.
I got 2 of these in different sizes for Christmas 🎄for my twin boys👦👦as their first boogie board. I wanted a beginner board that was stacked with enough features to be protective & durable for starting out & with enough features needed if they progress to a more advanced level. I ordered a (33inch) for my lighter twin & this board at 37 inches for my slightly heavier (97LBS) & taller twin. Also that light green color happens to be his favorite because it is the same color heavily used on one of his favorite video games. I am not sure if a board that has the best of both beginner & advanced boogie worlds exists but from all of my homework 📚I studied on prior to ordering, this is the closest one I could find to that & I chose it for all of the following reasons & more. The features I ❤️are:Heat Lamination- Uv resistant 🔆& prevents bubbles & doesn't easily deform or fadeEPS Core- lightweight & strengthens 🛟buoyancyXPE deck- makes the board easier to maneuver 🏄♂️& more responsive to impactHDPEBottom-enhances the overall speed🌊 & durability2FRP stringer- adds greater stiffness strength & durability 💪Crescent🌙tail/ adds better control & comfort for ocean & poolsLastly it has a Double swivel coiled wrist leash/made of stainless steel & I love that their is a strap for the hand & foot to keep you attached & so that you don't lose the board. Overall this jam packed boogie board was priceworthy 💸& a solid choice. It has all the top rated features that checks ✅off all the boxes for my my needs & his wants. Unfortunately since it is winter ❄️ time I cannot report how it feels & handles until the spring 🌸so I Will definitely update my review with additional pics & info then!!! My boys are siked 🤗& are so excited that they finally have their own boogie boards they don't have to borrow nor use a cheap foam one bought from a tourist or grocery store on the way to the beach that breaks after 1 use!! They are counting down the days until late spring !! So far I rate as 5⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️stars➕👍👍
A very excited grandson who can't wait to try the board out on the west coast of Ireland
Neither kids, nor adults couldn't successfully use it. Either size or shape, but something is wrong with it.
I had a blast on this body board. I'm 6'7", 230 lbs. Made catching waves so much easier than using my kids' boards. Overall, I'm happy with this purchase and plan to use it often.
All good
I'm a surfer and was skeptical about boogie boarding until I tried this one!! I can't figure out the tandem part but for just an adult this is incredible. get fins!!
Happy
it's made of light foam and not good foam cell like a surfboard, but regular foam. it is quite large though and perfect for my purpose, it's not too expensive, but very large for bigger people.
Much bigger than I expected, my 14 year old is excited to learn to use it. Trumps the small foam biggie boards by miles!!! Really well made and stode up to the Texas Gulf in good sized waves. For reference my son is 5'7". And it came with a nice carrying case that has a pouch to store fins or Google. Woukd recommend to others. My husband who surfers even said it's a good board, he was showing them how to use it.
My kids were so excited to get this boogie board and for the price we thought we'd skip all the delamination problems like with other boards.Well it arrived ALREADY BUBBLING! Extremely disappointed that we spent the last week waiting for this and need to send it back.
160 dollar board, and ovio, none of that goes into quality assurance. I was tired of buying the sub $40 cheap boards and hving to replace them every week. Well i guess every week is better than as soon as i open the box. This board was highly rated online, and Im not really sure why. You would think when spending 150 + on a board, it would be checked before it left the warehouse. Wont buy again.
I bought this bodyboard for my 10 year old son. He always had bodyboards that cheap pieces of trash. He wanted one with a slick bottom so I started looking around and reading reviews about the best bodyboards out there. I found this one on a list of the top five bodyboards so I looked it up on Amazon. I thought it was a fair price so I bought it. He had a huge problem obeying me so I didn't give it to him for a long time but once he started listening again I gave it to him. He was so stinking happy with it he just about wet his pants. It's a little bit big for him he can just about get his arm around it when he is carrying it but he's not shrinking. He looks so cute walking to the beach with the bodyboard in its carrying case. The orange color is great it really stands out in the water. This bodyboard allows him to ride even tiny waves. I feel bad I made him use body boards that sucked for so long. It's totally worth the money.
I recently returned from a trip to Costa Rica where my wife and I spent a month next to the beach. I never missed a daily session in the time we were there, racking up over 1400 rides on my Quill 42” model.
The size worked very well not only for me (81) but also for my youngest granddaughter (12)
The THURSO SURF Quill 42” bodyboard is easily the best bodyboard I've ever owned. It is lightweight and durable, and it offers great maneuverability and good distance. I am 5-10, 185lbs, and I rode countless waves at Gulf Shores, Alabama, during a recent weeklong beach stay. People actually asked me if I was a “pro” or if I was using a professional board, because the THURSO SURF board made me look good on the water.
Great size, quality, price, love the way it looks. It doesn't weight much at all & so far it's durable. 30 year old female using this for reference I'm 5'2 118lbs
Before we even had a chance to get this out in the water, it was dented. My kids are rough on things, but honestly, I didn't expect that a little push into the couch would make a big dent like it did! Luckily it's not super expensive, but I am a little disappointed.
I got 2 of these in different sizes & colors for Christmas 🎄for my twin boys👦👦as their first boogie board. I ordered this boogie board at 33 inches for my much lighter in weight twin at (67LBS). He is a fish that lives in the water, he is very agile & has alot of energy to burn. I wanted a beginner board that he could grow into that was stacked with features to be protective & durable. I also wanted features if he advances past the basic skills & wanted to go a step further with it. i am not exactly sure if a board like that quite exists but from all if my homework 📚I studied on prior to ordering, this is the one I chose for all of the following reasons & more. The CONTOUR SURF Crest 33'' Bodyboard is a product designed for bodyboarding and is made to provide a smooth and stable ride on the waves. It's a 33 inch board that is lightweight and durable, making it suitable for kids and adults of all surfing levels. This board is made with an EPS (expanded polystyrene) core which is lightweight and buoyant. Its EPS core, dual channel bottom design and double swivel coiled wrist leash make it suitable for a smooth ride on the waves and secure connection to the rider. It is a great option for those looking to get into bodyboarding or improving their skills. I love the colors and the feel of these, the size was perfect for my child.
Perfect size for my 12 year old grandson. The color is good and it feels well made and is not cheap and flimsy, do not have to worry about it breaking while he is using it. We are 10 minutes away from the beach so he will get a lot of use with it. Suitable color for boy or girl
This is really up there in quality. The foam is dense, it's a perfect size, and has a thin sheet of hard plastic on one side. That plastic COULD be better, just a bit more thick which is why I knocked off a star. Overall though it's better than 90% of boogie boards you can get out there and I definitely recommend it.
Christmas present
The board is perfect, lightweight stable, easy to carry for my grandson I just got another one for my granddaughter
Brilliant service, quick and friendly.

Great Quick Lock fin Clips that fit iRocker boards too. They can be filed a bit to make them smaller to fit iRocker Nautical boards too.
Fixed my Nautical paddleboard with this, had to shave the sides a bit but it worked perfect!
Got this for my 10 year old daughter. Shipped on time, came with all the parts and so far works great. I was particiularly impressed that CS contacted me because my email address looked funny (it does, but it was right). I appreciated that there were human eyes on my order. Only surprise - I didn't see an owners manual in the box, but I didn't need one, so no biggie. Oh, and on my daughter's second time on the board she got to paddle around with a harbor seal!
My daughter is 8 and it fits her perfectly. She loves it! She's able to paddle and maneuver around the water with no issues. I have to say that Thurso Surf customer service is also awesome! I was going to buy a new pump for this board because the one i already have for a different brand didnt work. They help me troubleshoot and figure out what i needed to do and i didnt need a new pump. Thanks!
My daughter is 8. She loves paddling. This board fit her perfect and super stable on the water. Glad i found this board. Also, have to throw in that customer support is awesome and really responsive in email.
Awesome quality! Perfect size. My 5yo can use it on its own. Size is perfect. Quality is very 3 !!
For the money this is a great upgrade over the nylon blade and the weight savings make things much easier. I’m no expert but I think the performance is great for anyone.
I bought the Expedition 138 Touring Sup and instead of the paddle that is in the box I got the carbon elite. I really like the paddle, especially that I could buy an extra blade to convert it to a kayak paddle so I could convert it if I wanted to. It isn't as light as my very high end single paddle but it is a very nice paddle which I will take with me when traveling.
The slitted blade is way less stressful on the shoulders and back and also give a more stable stroke (no flutter) and better grip – love it!!
love how light the paddle is. The major issue is the bulbous handle. Some of us have smaller hands. I had to use my old Nixy handle which isnt carbon fiber. I hope there will be a way to solve thios.
I bought this to help my aging shoulders. It's a great paddle and I noticed the difference immediately even though I was already using a full carbon paddle. I also like how easy it is to put together and take apart to stow away. My only gripe is it doesn't come with a paddle bag. Other than that it's exceptional value for money
The paddle is great. Very light and doesn't put extra strain on shoulders. Needed to adjust my paddling method somewhat because it just cruises with ease in the water.
I have enjoyed this paddle, but it is definitely different and requires rider adjustment. One generally uses their paddle for many maneuvers, including balance in a choppy waterway. It does not react the same as a solid paddle when you are making adjustments in difficult waters. I haven't fallen off my board in four years but did so three times on the same day with this paddle in a confused wave waterway. I believe it is an adjustment needed on my side, but just wanted to highlight this for the benefit of other buyers. In the end, I believe I will adjust. There is definitely much less stress on the shoulders and my speeds remain consistent.
Simple.
Love this paddle! Lightweight and the grip feels great in hand. Sadly lost my previous one, but was happy to see this model is still available.
I bought a 10 " paddle board 4"thick and the I decided to change for a 10"6 6thick. Costumer service made it very easy.
Love this paddle. Very light and easy to adjust between my 5'4 height and my partner's 5'11.
Best paddle I’ve ever used! It’s so light and comfortable on the water.
There’s no way to talk to anybody from there so it’s all through email and you’ll get your email at like 3 AM in the morning because they’re located in China. They’ll ship it through DHL which is possibly the worst shipping company on planet Earth. they notified me today that my package had been delivered, however it was not there’s no way to contact them and DHL literally is the worst to deal with. it’s all been a hassle. I don’t recommend anybody getting anything from them. We’ll see if the paddle ever makes it here. I hope it’s nice but I wish I’d spent an extra $150 to get something that’s made here For that matter. I’d like to just start making them here myself.
Hi Jeff,
We're truly sorry for the frustrating experience you've had. The confusion stemmed from the PO Box in the delivery address, which caused complications with DHL's delivery process. Thankfully, after contacting DHL, we were able to resolve the issue and ensure the package was properly delivered.
We understand how disappointing the process must have felt, but we’re confident that once you try our product, you’ll find it to be well worth the wait. We're proud of the quality we offer and genuinely appreciate your patience.
If there’s anything else we can do to assist, please don’t hesitate to reach out.
Kind regards,
Thurso Surf Team
This is a great paddle, and the one I reached for all summer. I had what I thought was a full carbon fiber paddle prior to that, and bought this one for my son to use so he'd feel the difference when we went paddling together. Welp. Once I put this one together I immediately felt the weight difference and knew my other CF paddle wasn't 100% carbon fiber. Guess which one my son got? Hey, we're always told to take care of ourselves first, right?Used almost every day of the summer on the paddleboard — on lakes, saltwater and high waves — and even while crabbing on the Salish sea. GREAT paddle, delivers in every way.
Unlike a lot of paddles that say they are carbon fiber, it is usually on the shaft. There really isn't much weight savings. The Thurso Elite is full carbon fiber, handle and paddle included. The handle is very comfortable and smooth seams. The locking mechanisms are clamping as well as a metal snap on the bottom piece. All the pieces fit together well with no issues and stayed tight. The markings are nice and I like the addition of adding a height chart. It is easy to swap between people and adjusts back. There were no QC issue sin the weave or seams. You can also convert this paddle to a double paddle with a full CF paddle. The only issue I have is that at this price, it would have been nice to get a bag or some kind of protective piece at this price. CF is pretty fragile so this would have made a more complete package. Otherwise, for the money, this is a top of the line paddle and so far has worked really well.
This is the best paddle that I have ever seen, used, or owned as of today! This paddle is not only light, but it's also strong and the fit and finish is flawless. Anybody that is on the water a lot will tell you that the best paddles available are the carbon fiber ones. The pushing power that you get from this paddle is insane. To say that I love this SUP paddle is an understatement! There are three pieces that fit solidly together, and the marker pole stays in place. This carbon fiber paddle has a double lock installation system with no rattling, twisting, or movement. It is so well built that it acts like one solid piece. I love that the paddle does break down into 3 pieces because it makes for easy carrying and storage. It would have been nice if they would have included a carrying case, but that's not a make or break deal for me. This carbon paddle feels great in your hands, and there aren't any rough or sharp edges at the seams. The carbon fiber shaft only weighs 25 ounces, which is 708 grams, and it actually does float. It can easily be adjusted from 71" to 87". If you have a kayak that you want to use it with they give you the option of purchasing another blade. We may actually buy it because we do have several kayaks and I would love to use it with them as well. I love the look, the feel, and the portability of it! The angle of this paddle is incredible! I have never felt such easy and perfect cutting through the water as I have with this paddle. It takes all the work out of paddling and brings back the fun! I highly recommend this paddle!
Light, strong....great deal for the price...
So incredibly lightweight and easy to use. Absolutely worth it. Adjusts to my height at 5:6 fairly well. I would say this is the best paddle, the quality feels amazing. It's pukka lightweight carbon fiber. Whenever I talk to my friends and try their paddles. This is the lightest one.Breaks into 3 parts so it's easy to transport. I'm very happy with it.
I was using a ''get me by'' paddle and I can say that my new paddle increased my enjoyment of paddle boarding 100%. It's light and easy to adjust to the right length.
Really pleased with my second paddle to allow the option of turning it into a kayak paddle particularly in a strong headwind.
This review is about the roller bag that came with the board. I Love the SUP - but the roller bag is starting to come apart I have only rolled it twice for short distance and only on my driveway. I take the board out of the bag from the back for my car..blow up the board in the parking lot…Bag does not get dragged or treated 1ly…Outside seams on the front pocket are weak…Anyway..maybe you can send a new bag…Newly ordered blade has not yet been used. Waiting for Thurso to get the Kayak seat in stock…Paddle that came with the board is okay…Just ordered a lighter two piece Paddle from QB...
Easy to assemble.
Really good blades. Strong but light. Awesome look too!
Good as a starter for beginners
We have 2 thurso boards, the opportunity to use then as kyaks is great!!
I absolutely love my Tranquility 10'8 Yoga Paddle Board. It is perfect for my yoga practice. I am happy I got it with the electric pump that I can plug in in my car or have it charged and pump by the water.
I’m a yoga teacher and I do sup yoga as a bit of summer fun for myself, I was using a normal sup board which was fine. Thought I would treat myself to a sup yoga board, wider- stability- length are all great but the thing I love the most is the handles being at the sides of the board so the middle of the board is free to Asana to your hearts content.
Using the board is a breeze. Sturdy and glides well through the water. Felt good under my feet. Had a little trouble setting up the main fin, and understanding what some of the extra parts were that came in the bag. Still managed to get it all set up ok, but the link that is in the booklet for set up instructions doesn't actually work. Would still recommend this board as it seems well made (only been out on it twice so far though). Took maybe 10 minutes to set it all up and get into the water so that was great, same for set down. Enjoyed being on it as it's SO beautiful!!!
Pros:
Soft board surface perfect for yoga
Quick to inflate and deflate
Cooler attachment
High quality paddle
Cons:
The bag is terrible! Seams torn after two uses
Fin is difficult to put on and off
Pump gets loud
The board itself is great! I’ve used it twice and love that the surface of the board feels like a yoga mat. Prior to this, I’ve only used hard boards and was nervous about having an inflatable one. Luckily, it seems like it won’t get a whole or leak easily. Keeping my fingers crossed it holds up!
The fin is kind of difficult to put on and take off.
The pump is ok - inflates and deflates fast, but it’s a bit confusing. The instructions state it will stop on its own when it reaches the set pressure, but the two times I’ve used it, it just keeps running and gets very loud at the end.
The bag it came with is the worst part. After only two uses, it is already tearing in multiple places. This part is very frustrating. It should last at least one summer.
I never liked inflatable paddle boards until finding this one! High quality, light weight, bought this one for our condo unit in Florida and now want one for back home in Michigan! You won’t regret getting this board :) no need to keep searching
Doesn’t offer as much stability as the more expensive soft tops (ones you might rent or take a lesson with) but it’s decent, especially for lighter people/kids. I’m 5’4”, 145lbs and a beginner surfer (also age 35 so no spring chicken lol). I tried this board and for someone like me it would have been a total waste of money. I can use the more expensive 7ft soft tops but imo this one just didn’t have enough volume or width for me…But it was great for my 12yr old beginner!
I bought this a while ago so I could teach some friends but couldn't use it because I left for a deployment. Came back last week and went out the last 2 days with it. It was used yesterday for 1 hour and today for 2 hours. And as you can see, it's completely unglued from the sides and coming apart. Really disappointed and irritated with how cheap this is made. Please do not waste your money. It may look cute but it's trash (this was also in North Carolina waves where they're about 1-3 ft tops and very soft).
Had a great first time, people were very friendly and helpful
This board is ideal for your first waves, learning to surf, and practicing with different types of waves. Being 7' long, it's perfect because you can practice walking on the board and playing without fear of getting hit since it's very soft and lightweight, making it very easy to transport and store anywhere. The design is unique, retro, sublime, and elegant, and the color combination is perfect. Everyone has a Wavestorm, but this design, at least here in Uruguay, makes it more identifiable and recognizable. Everyone is fascinated with the colors and the wood-like deck; some people have even mistaken it for a fiberglass board.I would definitely buy it again without hesitation. This brand guarantees quality. I've had a Thurso Waterwalker SUP 10.2 for over 5 years, and it still looks brand new, with flawless colors just like the first day.Highly recommended brand and products.
I received this board as an early Bday present and used it yesterday 10/17 and loved it. I was on an 8.5' foamy board and ready to progress. I'd say I'm an intermediate beginner, I've mastered the white water waves and ready to drop into a green, unbroken wave. ( 5'5'' 120lbs). I rode the THURSO 7' soft top and was surprisingly impressed!! I'd never heard of Thurso except for SUP Boards. I popped right up on my first wave. For women and kids it's nice b/c I can actually carry my board b/c it's not too wide. It weighs only 10lbs too. You lose a tad on stability, but it's manageable. Get your proper pop up stance down and you'll be fine. I can't WAIT to get out on it again... This is a great board for a good price !! WTG Thurso ! And the colors make it a nice looking board too. Worth it !
Arrived as and when expected. Fins easy to put on but came with screws of different lengths. One screw fell off first day using. When contacting seller, immediately responded but will be waiting at least one week for the replacement parts.
The board looks good with cool designs. When our kiddo took it out for the first time one of the fins came off and the traction pad came off. The fin boxes are flimsy at best- if I could find replacement fins, I don't have a lot of confidence that they would stay in place.
Hi Erin, thank you for bringing this to our attention. Hearing about your experience is truly disheartening, especially for an experienced paddling family like yours. This is absolutely not the quality standard we stand for.
We want to make this completely right for you. Our team has already reached out to you via email to offer a brand-new replacement traction pad and a full set of replacement fins entirely free of charge.
We currently have everything packed and ready to go in our warehouse! Please check your inbox and reply to our email to confirm if your shipping address is still the same, and we will get them shipped out to you immediately. We look forward to hearing from you!
This is a cute board and perfect for the beginner wanna be surfer, like my teen. It is very lightweight and the color is very trendy. It fits easily in the back of the jeep too!
Foam board top
We recently purchased the Adept Youth 9’ Paddle Board, and from the moment of purchase, the customer service has been outstanding. When we had a small issue with the middle part of the board, the support team responded quickly and professionally — we were very impressed.
The paddle board itself is fantastic. The paddle is lightweight, just like a professional adult board, and our child absolutely loves it. We’re very happy with the quality and design. As our child grows, we will definitely come back for more products. Highly recommended!
This board is almost exactly what I was looking to get for my 10 year old daughter. She's done a bunch of local paddle sessions and a few recreational races with it, and it's worked out well so far.
The construction is the same as an adult board - it's lightweight, stiff, reasonably stable, and tracks well with the extra fins. The industry standard fin boxes are a welcome feature - we'll definitely be getting a shallow river fin setup in the near future.
She loves the paddle holder straps, and is a really underrated feature for kids. It can be really difficult for them to manage the bulk of a board, plus extra stuff like the paddle, leash, dry bag, water bottle, etc., and it's a huge help getting to and from the water.
Personally, I'd rather have a pointed nose on the front, but that rounded all-round shape is kinda what the market dictates right now. In my limited experience, what a refined nose gives you in speed, tracking, and glide is greater than what it detracts from stability and maneuverability. But my 10 year old doesn't seem to notice or care, so 5 stars all the way 😂
Took the 138 on the first day in choppy water with a headwind, and it delivered! This is my balance for speed, efficiency, stability and cargo hauling.
I love how it bundles with an electric battery pump/compressor, so much better than hand pumping or needing to run the truck with a tire compressor. Just what I wanted.
The board arrived in a timely fashion. Set up was super easy! And on the water, my new favorite board handled amazingly well.
can't be happier with this board, it is my first board but I'm glad I purchased one that I can grow into. the board looks beautiful, love the details and it feels great all around... I can already tell that it's a very fast board.... and the rechargeable pump is wonderful
I recommended your Board to a friend of mine and he purchased one yesterday, he choosed the Maxi, because he is a beginner.
I love my paddle board (first one). Who would have thought such a simple and elegant sporting vessel would provide such profound mental and physical therapy? Thank you for making an 5 product and contributing to a vibrant community of fellow enthusiasts. My SUP adventure has just begin. Start yours today!
Beginner paddler with a sporting background.
Needed a bigger Touring SUP board, i've already tried a friend's one, absolutely loved it.
Great quality, beautiful design and i bought it with a great package deal, Rechargeable Electric Air Pump (so easy) , Carry Roller Backpack, Carbon Hybrid Paddle, Leash, Fin Box Touring Click Fin. Probably the Best Value for money you Will find.
I weigh 220lbs and took a 90lbs Weimaraner out with me. We did great and was able to maneuver easily.
Excellent rigidity, and very detailed!
Impressive package, full of features. Love the storage bag. But, major disappointment #1. wrong fin was shipped. After driving to launch, taking my time setting it up, the final step of the fin insertion was impossible. fin was too big. Thankfully they are making it right shipping me a new one, but order picking accuracy shouldn't be an unsolved problem for a mature company. Disappointment #2: obviously the instructions were written by a non-english speaker, or ran through a poor translator, making the first impression a bit like unboxing chinese knockoffs from amazon. These are both very very easy fixes. I look forward to trying the board out, after i get the right fin.
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your feedback with us!
It’s our first board and first time ever trying such an activity. Was really easy to inflate it, rechargeable pump big plus, though on/of button act weird, it works only if to push it from one side (probably just bad contact on it), but with couple of tries I figured how push it. Got to 15psi and shut off automatically, took about 5-6 minutes. Fins easy to attach. Bag for accessories big plus too. Tried it in all different positions to paddle, stand up, on my knees, and sitting like on kayak (probably next would purchase kayak seat). Board is stable enough (even for first timer ). Not a pro to give opinion on quality in comparison to any other, but it was totally satisfying for me and my wife . Found it even to be easier to navigate with my wife on board. And carrying backpack fitted board, two paddles plus 2 additional blades, 2 life jackets and pump. Wheels on it made my day better;)
I could not be more happy with this paddleboard. The build quality is 5 and the engineering side of it is well thought out, I could not be more happy. I am 6 foot 2 inches tall and weigh 275 and this SUV is as stable as as a Jon boat! Love the grip surface on the entire top side and all the mounts, handles and tie downs you could possibly need. Even the straps to hold your paddle on each side. It tracks just fine and I even lost a fin from not securing it properly and TS was right there to replace it, GREAT customer service too!!! I already have my eye on the Expedition 150 once I get a bit more experienced to gain a bit of speed! Love this board, you will not be disappointed.
I'm still not very 3 at this, but it sure is fun and it's great exercise. Quality seems to be great and it's easy to inflate. Highly recommend buying this board.
Purchased from producer website 08/07/24, delivered on 15/07/24, used in a calm lake on 21/07/24.
Inflate to 17 PSI, looks stable with 2 kids, not so stable with 2 adults, (160kg max)
D-ring collapse immediately, seems without glue.
What if was the D-ring where the safety laces is attached???
Not acceptable for the cost and the advertisement on this producer and this products,
I have read a lot of dedicate article on it, before purchase.
Now I'm waiting some action from the producer/seller and, at the moment, I can not change my rate,
let's see if they want to solve it.
I purchased this for a family vacation si I could snorkle and swim and not worry about leaving my phone and wallet on the beach. This bag handled that perfectly. I was skeptical at first and put it in a bucket of water for a few hours at home before I left with some napkins to test. I was dry inside after about 2 hours. When I first got to the beach on the vacation, I had my wife hold cell and wallet and went in for about an hour and when I came out it was bone dry inside. Now that I trusted it, I put it all in, and it worked great. It's a little larger than I'd like, but I guess that's not a bad thing I guess. The material is fairly stiff, it's like a molded rubber or a rubber coated cloth. The zipper can be a little stiff and comes with some silicone. Thisnactually put my mind at east that it wouldn't open up while swimming, so while it wasn't the easiest to open and close I believe that's a feature. Is it water tight? Yes, very much so. You do have to look to make sure the zipper is FULLY closed. I know that sounds obvious, but but if you're used to having a waste bag and haphazardly opening and closing it, it won't be waterproof unless it's FULLY CLOSED.You can use it 2 different ways, leave it puffed up full of air and it will float, push the air out before zipping it and it will not. You may not want it to float if you're snorkeling or swimming below the water and don't want the buoyancy. I got a bright yellow one to make it easier to see if it came off. I'll probably let it float if I'm canoeing or something where I'm not in the water, but take the air out if I'm swimming. The belt is also removable, which is a great feature to me. I'm a larger guy and most of the other bags I looked at were on the smaller size for me. You can change out the belt for a larger one, a more comfortable one, or a new one if the old one becomes unserviceable. I used a dive weight belt that fits me a little better.Overall I'm quite pleased with this bag as we're a few people I saw while on vacation who asked how to get one.If I could change anything about it, it would be to make a model a little smaller in addition to this one to be a little less obvious when not in the water but overall a great product.
This is a good little zippered dry bag. The zipper is a little stiff but comes with a little tube of lubricant that also keeps it waterproof. The back of the bag has belt loops and velcro straps. It comes with a basic belt to put through the loops or you can use the straps to attach it to your equipment. It is a little boxy, meaning it soft but stiff so it holds its rectangular shape. This feels a little weird but can also be a nice feature. Just know that it won't be laying flat on your waist. Like most dry bags, it is one compartment but there is a little netting on the side to tuck small items for ease of finding later. It is a nice bag for keeping some items dry.
I got this to use on my paddle board to put my phone, keys, etc. It seems to be just as pictured and described. Update to come.
The Good:-Waterproof-Looks good-Secure wrist band-Great for the beachThe Bad:-NoneThe Bottom Line:I take this all the time to the beach since it is water and sand proof. The belt is secure and you could wear it while paddle boarding if you want. Overall, I would recommend this Danny pack for it's size and quality.
This is a nicely made and fairly spacious little bag with some nice options for mounting to a belt or pack. It's made from a TPU or silicone style material that's decently thick and while it is flexible it is able to keep its structure. The waterproof zipper was a little stiff, which is normal in my experience, but after lubricating it with the included gel it did improve and was waterproof in my testing although I only submerged it for a minute or so to check it out. The rear of the little pouch has both belt loops and four velcro straps that are MOLLE compatible which makes it easy to lash to most packs even if they don't have MOLLE webbing. All the seams are cleanly welded; overall it's a well made pouch that I really don't have any complaints with.
Bislang nur getested. Tasche ist wasserdicht. Geräumig. Noch nicht im Alltag getestet.
I LOVE THIS BAG! It is so useful. I can put my keys and sunscreen in the back part and phone in the front. I can wear it on my shoulder or around my waste when carrying my board. The strap easily attaches to my board. EVERY paddler should have this bag!
The pump came with my board and the gauge has never worked. The pump works well otherwise., yet not very helpful without a working gauge.
Hi there,
Thank you for sharing your feedback, and we are truly sorry to hear that the pressure gauge on your pump hasn't been working properly. We completely agree that a clear, accurate gauge is essential for a great paddling experience.
We would love to make this right for you immediately! Please reach out to our customer support team with your Order Number at contact@shopislesurfandsutrend.com. Once we verify your order, we will gladly ship you a brand-new replacement pressure gauge right away, free of charge.
Thank you for your patience, and we look forward to helping you get back on the water with a fully functional pump!
High quality solid pump. I like the different settings making it easier at higher psi.
In one of the photos it says “aluminum tube” giving the impression the pump tubes are metal. It's only the small tube between the two large ones that is metal. Could have easily justified the price if it was all aluminum. Haven't used it yet but I'm sure it'll work well regardless.
I have 2 SUPs to pump to 10+psi. To speed things up, I have a battery powered pump to fill the bulk of the SUPs (before any pressure is added). Then I use this hand pump to add in the pressure. This hand pump is much faster at adding the pressure than the powered pump. If I can only take the hand pump or the powered pump, I would take this hand pump. It is also much better than the hand pumps that came with the SUPs. One of them started failing after the second use.
Love this pump. Blew up my SUP in no time with minimal effort. You get what you pay for. This pump looks sturdy and well made, love it, thanks!
Did some research before buying this “power” house. Our SUP has never been so rigid and so fast. The old pump just did not get the psi levels like this one does, with half the workout. Highly recommend.
La pompe allait très bien.
THURSO SURF 20PSI Rechargeable SUP Air Pump: It is very well built, it looks like it was built to Last. it feels incredibly well-made, and the materials seem high-quality and very durable. It's surprisingly hefty, it comes with a fantastic carry case. This pump delivers impressive inflation speed, the heavy-gauge cables connecting to the battery contribute to this efficiency. The air hose is a nice touch with a rubbery feel. It came with one valve adapter and it isn't removable, which limits versatility. While it is good for Kayaks Boats as advertised, it would have been better to be able to use it for other stuff as it is a great pump.I find that the pump is very loud and noisy, especially if used on a quiet beach or park, however, its quality difference justifies the higher price tag. Overall, I really like it, very efficient and durable*** This product was received for free under Amazon Vine program
This air pump is perfect for anyone that owns a air filled SUP, or similar water craft. The requirement of running the cable around when pumping my SUP has always been my biggest headache. However this air pump takes those problem away by providing alternatives - charging the device ahead of time at home. The accessories included are versatile and are pretty good build quality. I've tested the charge and it was running on charge for 30 minutes, only taking 1/4 of the battery. The performance is astonishing and i would recommend this product.
This rechargeable air pump comes with all the connectors as well as a case to store it in. It only has a car connector and no actual outlet plug. It does not have too much power to it, but still does the job. I found it came partially charged and i didnt have to charge it for a while so make sure you train your battery.
Please watch my included video first, before reading the review, as it will make more sense to visualize what I'm saying. This is a useful compressor, but it's use-specific for doing so. The first thing that it is NOT is a compressor for inflating car/vehicle tires, despite the size of it. It comes with a variety of attachments for inflating things that you would take camping, like inflatable mattresses, water loungers, and so on. Make sure to use the o-rings that it comes with on both sides of the hose, something not noted correctly in the manual. The manual also doesn't seem to note that there is a low-speed mode that is the default when it turns on, most useful on the suction side of it rather than inflation side, and a pulse mode with much higher output. Please see video for how to use these, as I didn't see anything in the manual about this. After you turn the power on, you set the pressure level you want to reach. Then when it is pumping the air, it automatically detects the pressure it's pushing, and will shut off automatically when it hits the pressure you set. Very useful. But be careful how high you set it; 20psi might not seem like much, but it's more than enough to destroy many inflatable things like pool toys.It comes in a nice hard-shell carry bag, as well. But it does take up a lot of space, for what it does.
I ordered the Thurso air pump to inflate our two stand up paddle boards and couldn't be happier. I no longer need to manually inflate and deflate them with the cumbersome plastic hand pump. The air pump comes in a nice semi hard case with handles for easy transport. The kit comes with the air pump, hose, a number of attachments and a couple charging cables. I wish the hose was a bit longer though. The unit is rechargeable and has a universal usb-c connection and cable for charging, but bring your own power adapter. There is hidden storage in the back of the unit where the additional cigarette lighter cord is stored but there is plenty of room here to store the usb-c cable, power adaptor and the attachments. Well thought out.Operation is simple with controls for on/off, adjusting pressure (max 20 psi) and switching between bar/psi. The screen shows the pressure of whatever it is that is being inflated. There are two ports for the hose on the side, one to inflate and the other to deflate. They are labeled but hard to read. To inflate my sups takes about 10 min, deflating takes about the same. I'll note that the hose is rigid and there isn't a pivot at the ends so twisting them on takes a bit of effort. Battery life is excellent. The Thurso air pump is well made and has survived a few bangs. Inflating and deflating my sups is actually a fun activity now.
This pump is compact and comes with its own carry case. I find it quieter than other pumps and faster than the pumps I’ve used. Very happy with my purchase.
Does the job, takes a while and is noisy. It was free product so definitely can’t moan, I would buy it but I wouldn’t want to pay much for it, I’d recommend researching other alternatives.
Tres bonne pompe facile a utiliser , seul inconvenient ne peut gonfler que 2 paddle board cons茅cutivement
Too small to fit any kind of travel mug. Will fit a pop can but that’s about it.
Hi Jeff,
We’re very sorry for the disappointment. The cup holder was originally designed to fit standard cans, such as soda or beer, which is why travel mugs don’t fit well. We’ve already passed your feedback along to our product development team, and we’ll be working on launching updated cup holders that can also accommodate water bottles and travel mugs in the future.
Thank you for sharing your experience—it helps us improve.
Kind regards,
Thurso Surf Team
I’m 6’ 220lbs and after the first paddle the front latches were bending open. I replaced them with something stronger.
Really good product
Really good blades. Strong but light. Awesome look too!
Ultra light. I thought the box it came in was empty. Took 5 minutes to get it adjusted as I wanted but comfortable enough and I can place mats under it to lift it more if I wanted. Versatile. I've got 2 very different paddle boards and it easily transfers and adjusts to both.
The free shipping to this island where Masset is located is strongly appreciated. No free shipping from Amazon here; they charge about $150 for the smallest of parcels. Thurso Surf seems to run a pretty good business.
Couldn't tell the difference between both fins - but it tracks well!
Perfect cooler for my SUP! Kept everything cold, even in the 110 degree temps!! Holds a ton of stuff! Excellent purchase!!!
Comparing this to a couple other waterproof bags I have, this did not live up to my expectations. However, the customer service surpassed my expectations! The overall build of the bag was great, I just found the zipper more difficult than my other bags and the cooling mechanism wasn’t the best in the Arizona heat. Quality of materials was good though and customer service was wonderful! The bag did not fit my board as advertised, but I also have a larger than normal paddle board.
I’ve tried to contact customer service twice now. The cooler leaks, when tightened closed all the way. Do not like it at all and wish to return

Best customer service, had an issue and resolved immediately!! Will order from them in future and great products for your water sports
Clips on easily and securely to the paddle board. We packed it with about 12 cans and a picnic lunch/ snacks for 2 adults and multiple ravenous children. With pre-chilling the food and drinks cans and using a few ice packs everything was still beautifully chilled almost 24hrs later despite the weather being gloriously hot. The zip was a little stiff to start with but after applying the supplied ‘zip grease’ it loosens up beautifully. Friends we were paddling with suffered huge kit envy and immediately ordered one! Can’t wait to use it on our summer holiday paddling in Greece.
Prefect size and shape. Came with clips and my iSUP came with rings so it was a perfect match.Love the mesh top! I store my speaker, knife and whistle there for emergency and/or easy reach.
Works great for paddle boarding trips. Holds 6 bottles of water (needed for hot day trips). Has outside pocket for sunscreen and small items. Works great for short day trips
Perfect little cooler bag. I used the included straps to attach it to my board. I can also slip my life jacket and paddle under it. Keeps items cool. Also keeps things dry if you are trying to keep things from getting wet. I usually pop a bottle or two of water in it with my keys and cell phone. The exterior zipper pouch is also big enough to hold my sandals. Also has a handy piuch on the inside where I stick my phone. Very pleased with the quality.
I love this cooler bag! It's perfect for my paddleboard. I like the low profile and it fits perfectly on top of my life vest. It came with a free water bag for my phone that matches my board! Lots of space inside the cooler for drink and snacks. And I like the mesh pocket on the outside for other items like my shoes. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I use this on my irocker SUP. I don't use the suction cups, but I do use the clips. I clip each corner to a D ring on my board and It works amazing. I get compliments all the time as all of my gear attaches to my board so when I get in/out of the water I dont have to carry anything separately. By far my favorite part is the cooler is flat, so it doesn't obstruct my view or and I never have to worry about it tipping over. The cooler itself can easily fit an ice pack, sandwich, fruit, 2- 16fl oz smart waters & 2 white claw tall cans. More if you were packing for multiple people, I only pack for myself. It keeps my food & drinks cold on my 3-4 hour paddle journeys. I absolutely LOVE the mesh top of this. It has a lot of room and zips easy but secure access. I keep my phone in a waterproof pouch, my gopro accessories, sunblock, sunglasses, etc.If you're looking for a cooler for your board this one will def be a great one to start with! There are actual SUP branded coolers similar to this but I am not a hardcore SUP'er (yet) so I wasn't looking to spend $100+. VERY happy with this purchase! I have no intentions of using anything else until this one has given out on me.
Plus grosse qu'attendu
Bonnes dimensions. S'installe très facilement à mon paddle board et tient bien en place. Avec un ice pack mes boissons sont restées froides malgré la température extérieure élevée toute la journée.
I have a heavy solid cooler than I like but find it too heavy to carry, so this soft cooler is very light and seem pretty well made. It has a large capacity and is waterproof, leakproof and puncture-proof that make it well suited for camping. The shoulder strap is very convenient for carrying the cooler. Looking forward to my next trip with this soft cooler.
There is no doubt that this is a great cooler especially for outdoor water sports. The brand is specialized in paddle boards so this cooler has a lot of features that are catered for paddle boarding. The cooler is lightweight and insulation is very good that you can tell from the design of their zipper. There are no outside pockets but there are many clips to secure it on paddle boards. The cooler is solid built and the material repels water very well. It is really perfect for water sports. The only thing I don't really like is the zipper which is very hard to open even I applied the lubricant several times. I understand this is for insulation purposes but it's not convenient if I use it on land. I'll try not to open it as many times as possible.
Great quality ice chest! Only flaw is the zipper is a pain to zip even after using the lubricant supplied with the ice chest. Hoping it gets easier with use. Other than that it's very nice, sturdy and well made.
This cooler case is a nice alternative to hard coolers. An added bonus is that is also equipped for a day of activity and adventure. It has a thick insulated lining on the inside to keep food fresh and cold or keep your drinks icy.It zips around the top cover and has several carry options. The zipper is a bit hard to operate, but luckily there is a heavy duty zipper pull to make it easier. There is a tube of zipper lubricant included as well if needed. The zipper is designed like this to keep the cooler properly insulated. There are several buckled straps so that the cooler can be hooked onto your recreation gear to secure it. For example, stand up paddle boards, kayaks, off road vehicles, etc. I like that this is much easier to carry than a hard case cooler and you have more flexibility where you travel with it. We packed it with hard ice blocks along with pre-made hamburger patties, coleslaw, and other cold foods and spent the day at the beach. We were able to clip the cooler to a chair when it got windy. Everything was still cold many hours later and ready for us to grill the burgers for a late lunch, no problem. The interior is easy to wipe clean. The exterior wipes up well also.
This cooler is light weight and very well made. I placed a jug of ice in the cooler and there was still a small amount of ice after 24 hours. This was indoors at a temperature of 69 degrees. The zipper on the cooler is very tight and took some strength to open and close. There is zipper lubricant included which did help with the zipper. The cooler has a strap as well as handles for carrying. It is also made to be secured to a kayak. I would recommend this cooler to anyone wanting a smaller cooler that will keep things cold for an extended time.
Die Tasche ist sehr praktisch. Wir machen gerne Pausen mitten im see und können gemütlich was kühles auf dem Wasser trinken…
I am writing to complain about the SUP backpack I purchased from your online store. Unfortunately, after the very first use, the stitching on the front completely came apart, making the backpack unusable.
The product was used normally and carefully, so I am very disappointed with its quality, especially considering that it failed after just one use.
I'm so glad I bought it I was worried if it was big enough for my 10.2 paddleboard. I have room for a paddleboard, equipment. 2 yoga mats. my freediving equipment, my boxing and training equipment. the quality is good! i'm a big fan!!
I have two Thurso boards and bags from two different model years and have been telling everyone I know to get a Thurso, in no small part for the bag quality. One of my friends who followed my advise has been loathe to bring her board out cause it's hard to carry and I couldn't imagine why. I just borrowed and WOW this current bag design is SO BAD. It's super baggy, doesn't hold the board secure, the main straps both use a tiny little plastic snap buckle that can't be replaced. Hers broke on the first use and it's just a giant saggy unwieldy blob. Do not buy this bag. Thurso—revert!
Hi there,
Thank you so much for your loyal support over the years and for recommending us to your friends—we truly appreciate it! At the same time, we are very sorry to hear that the current bag design has fallen so short of your expectations and caused such a frustrating experience for your friend.
Your feedback is incredibly valuable to us. We take the quality and functionality of our gear seriously, and we have shared your specific comments about the fit, bagginess, and the plastic buckle design directly with our product development team for future improvements.
We would love to make things right for your friend and see how we can help. Please ask her (or feel free to reach out yourself) to contact us directly at contact@shopislesurfandsutrend.com with her order details. Our team is ready to look into this and find a solution for her!
There needs to be maybe a couple internal straps instead of one large external straps. Or maybe all three… if you suck the air out of paddle board, to reduce size, it’s has a tendency to sag in the bag causing the bottom to drag on the ground. But seems to have more than enough size to deal with a paddle board.
Grand, beau, utile
Le tissu est robuste et de qualité, fermeture éclaire de qualité.A ce prix la, si tu voyage avec ton paddle board, tu es fou de t'en passer, surtout avec les roues sur le sac
First and foremost, I found this SUP Kayak Seat to be well designed, easy to install and adjust, comfortable and reasonably priced. After using it for two days, problems developed with the two front strap clips! One separated into two pieces and the other became "stretched" out (See pics).
Love the company, love the board, love the videos! The maiden voyage today and all went smoothly after I remembered to put the fins on, oops! I was glad I watched the videos and took notes to be confident and prepared.
Extremely pleased. Great pump, Board looks 3, is very stable and feels solid.
I love my board! I'm only 5'2'' but am able to handle my board myself. I love how the paddle attaches and all the bungees to hold my gear. Can't tell you how many compliments I've gotten in its 3 looks, too!
This is a great board, however it is on the small side so you have to have 3 balance. I love that it has so many clips, so you can carry it easily or add a kayak seat if you want to. It's easy to blow up, use and put away. I highly recommend this board, however some people with balance issues may want to go with the larger size
I was hesitant to buy an inflatable SUP. I did a ton of research online and eventually found Thurso Surf as one of the best and best value for price paid. Since this is the first inflatable SUP board Ive ever used its hard for me to compare and know how to rate this. Overall, I wasvery happy with the quality of the board. It looks great, it's easy to put together and carry. I'm taking off half a point for being made in China and another half point because even though I read that the board was enough for a guy my size 5'11, 180 lbs once I was out in the ocean, even in calm waters I didn't feel it was very stable. I actually returned this board with the brands 30 day guarantee and upgraded for the Thurso 2020 132 which is much much better (I'll write a separate review about that). I do have to compliment the team for their prompt professional responses and the efficiency of the exchange. Five stars for customer service.
Delighted with SUP. Been looking around and tried a few boards.Went for this based on reviews, described design quality of product and features including decent paddle, bag and double action pump.Price is very 3 compared to comparable products.Really surprised at how easy and quick it can be inflated and deflated.I like how the fins are locked into place. I've used one previously where the fins glide into place and could be dislodged in shallow water. Not an issue with this design.Photos of maiden voyage on loch in the Highlands.Really stable (only learning). Still moved quickly despite wind picking up.Bungees great for carrying dry bag.Customer service helpful too. Received an email from the team with tips about the board before it arrived.Recommend this for someone who is looking to invest in a 3 quality board.
I love my new board! I’m 5’3 and 140lbs. The 10.6 is the perfect size. It’s so stable and glides beautifully! The rollie bag is so helpful for someone as petite as me and the pump worked great.

This is the first paddle board I purchased, and have no regrets. As soon as I stepped onto the board I felt the stability it had. Any direction I wanted to go or turn, it responds excellent. All the bungees and paddle holding straps are so well thought out. I am so pleased with the durability and how solid this is built, I am so pleased with it, and will refer this brand to anyone who needs a recommendation.
Finally got around to using my Waterwalker 126 SUP yesterday. Quality is great and looks 3 too. It was my first time ever on a SUP and wow I was hooked. Easy enough to setup and inflate to the 15psi. Had to carry it from the parking lot to the lagoon and that wasn't too bad at all. Felt stable one I figured out my balance on the board. Easy to paddle and manoeuvre in the lagoon. Winds picked up at the end of my outing and I was able to get from the other end of the water with confidence back to the ramp. I can't wait to get back out. Already ordered the extra paddle for the kayak conversion. Just waiting for the kayak seat to be back in stock.
Vorab gute Beratung, schnelle Lieferung und tolles SUP. Sehr gute Qualität.
I don’t know what happened but I unfortunately only used it twice before it developed a hole on the sidewall. The shipping was super fast and it arrived in great shape. Love the paddle and portable inflator. It didn’t hit anything on the water. Some sharp cut rivets in the carrying pack maybe? Or damaged in transit on the plane (but I used it twice after we got to Mexico). I don’t know but I’m disappointed! Can patch it but don’t know if I’d trust it way out on the open water after a patch.
